Purpose
Leger Opinion Medical (LEO Medical) is an entity used by Leger Marketing Inc., and acts under the name and responsibility of Leger Marketing Inc.
By becoming a member of LEO Medical, you agree to abide by these terms of use (the “Terms”). If you decide not to accept these Terms, you must immediately leave the LEO Medical website or the LEO app and cease participation in LEO Medical.
We reserve the right to change or amend these Terms or any part of these Terms at any time, to discontinue your membership, or to terminate the reward program without notice. LEO Medical does not guarantee that the survey program will remain operational and assumes no responsibility for any loss you may suffer. By continuing to use the LEO Medical website and the LEO app, you agree to any changes, and continue to agree to abide by the amended Terms.
These Terms are governed by all applicable Canadian federal laws, and members agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec with regard to any dispute arising from these Terms.
These Terms and the LEO Medical Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and LEO Medical and supersede all prior statements, contracts, agreements and understandings between LEO Medical and you.
You acknowledge and agree that your membership in LEO Medical is subject to and conditional on the following:
Failure to comply with these Terms constitutes good cause to immediately terminate your membership of LEO Medical, without prior notice, and at the sole discretion of LEO Medical. Termination of your membership will result in the cancellation of all accrued rewards as well as all rights of access and use granted to members. In addition, members whose accounts have been closed are no longer permitted to access the LEO Medical website or the LEO app in any way, or for any reason whatsoever.
LEO Medical Membership
To participate in LEO Medical surveys, you must first register as a “Member” on the LEO Medical panel by providing us with accurate, complete and up-to-date information. Upon sign-up you will receive a confirmation email from LEO Medical to validate your email address as well as go through a 2-Step Verification process. Until you confirm your registration through the email and complete the 2-Step Verification, you are not considered a verified member of LEO Medical. In certain cases, LEO Medical may need to verify a member's professional profile. This verification process may be initiated to ensure that the member’s professional qualifications and background align with their profile. Members will be contacted to provide additional proof of profession. Failure to comply will result in the closure of the member’s account.
Each panel member is limited to one profile and one personal account. The creation of several accounts will result in their immediate closure and the loss of LEO Medical rewards that have not yet been processed.
Only legal residents of Canada may become members of LEO Medical. Employees of Leger Marketing Inc. and its parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates connected in any way to the activities of LEO Medical are not eligible to participate. Members are not permitted to transfer or assign their membership with LEO Medical and LEO Medical rewards they have earned, their privileges, or their access to the website and LEO mobile app. They must not permit any other person to use it.
In exchange for access to LEO Medical, as a member, you agree to the following:
To always keep all your membership information up to date through certain profiling surveys and in the profile section of the LEO Medical website and the LEO app;
Not to activate or use more than one LEO Medical member profile account;
Not to use a name subject to rights of another person;
Not to use a false or misleading name, profession, medical specialties, provincial license/registration number, work address, phone/fax number, and email address to activate and use a member account;
You are a medical professional, qualified, practicing and in good standing in the country/province stated in your profile;.
You represent and warrant that you have obtained, if required, authorization from your employer to participate in LEO Medical;.
Not to submit or provide false or misleading information to any entity participating in the program; and
Not to use one LEO Medical account for more than one person or an entity.
If you provide incorrect, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete information, or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is incorrect, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, we may suspend or close your LEO Medical account.
Participation in LEO Medical Surveys and Survey Validation
Surveys
Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you are not required to participate in every survey we conduct.
LEO Medical appreciates your time. We only want you to complete the surveys that truly interest you, and we respect the time you spend on our surveys. Without prejudice to the Terms set forth herein, our surveys allow you to earn redeemable rewards which will be determined and communicated to you prior to beginning each survey.
LEO Medical uses an industry standard model to calculate the rewards offered for completing its surveys. Rewards depends on several factors, including the time required to complete the survey, the number and nature of questions you must answer within the scope of the survey, and the unique characteristics that members are required to have to be eligible to take part in the survey.
Qualification, Survey Validation & Honoraria
LEO Medical is committed to maintaining the highest data quality and integrity standards. To ensure the relevance and accuracy of survey responses, participants undergo a thorough qualification process for each study. Eligibility criteria may vary depending on the specific nature of the survey, encompassing factors such as medical specialty, years of experience, geographic location, and other pertinent qualifications. This meticulous screening process is designed to assemble a diverse and knowledgeable panel, ultimately enhancing the value of insights derived from our surveys. Only those members who meet the specific criteria for each survey will be invited to participate, ensuring that the data collected is representative, reliable, and aligns with the unique requirements of the study. LEO Medical acknowledges and appreciates delivering meaningful and accurate findings in the field of healthcare research. Participants who successfully complete the survey and have gone through the survey validation process will be duly compensated with honoraria as a token of our appreciation for their time and expertise.
Redeemable rewards shall be contingent upon the successful completion and validation of the survey. Survey validation (the “Validation”) encompasses a comprehensive series of assessments aimed at verifying authenticity and honesty of participating members. This Validation process includes but is not limited to confirming the identity of participants, ensuring the veracity of their survey responses, and conducting quality checks to ascertain the accuracy and reliability of the survey data. Quality checks encompass various factors, including but not limited to, evaluating the time taken by participants to complete the survey, identifying and addressing instances of straightlining, and assessing the results of open-ended questions to verify the quality and relevance of the responses.
The determination of the eligibility for redeemable rewards shall be at the sole discretion of LEO Medical, based on the outcome of the Validation. Rewards will be issued to members whose survey responses pass LEO Medical’s validation criteria.
LEO Medical reserves the right to suspend, cancel, re-evaluate or modify, without liability and without prior notice to members, all or part of the reward value structure and its offers from any member who fails to meet the specified validation criteria or who engages in fraudulent or deceptive conduct during the survey process. LEO Medical reserves the right to change the reward value structure or other incentives when recruiting for a survey.
Upon survey completion, members will be prompted to select their preferred payment method from the available options, including but not limited to e-transfer, cheque, or charitable donation. It is essential for members to ensure that the chosen payment method is both accurate and suitable for receiving their rewards.
LEO Medical aims to complete the Validation of a member’s completed survey within thirty (30) business days of the member’s completion of a survey. Upon successful Validation, redeemable rewards shall be credited to the member’s chosen payment method. We strive to complete this process in a timely manner, but unforeseen circumstances may occasionally lead to slight delays. Members shall not be entitled to compensation for any such delays.
It is important to note that the member’s chosen payment method must be compatible with the designated reward type. The member shall be solely responsible for any associated fees or charges that may be incurred during the reward crediting process, depending on their selected payment method.
The members shall promptly notify us of any changes in their payment method or contact information to ensure the efficient processing of rewards. Any discrepancies or concerns regarding reward distribution should be reported to LEO Medical within a reasonable time frame for resolution. However, members are responsible for ensuring that rewards have been paid. LEO Medical shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions relative to rewards.
E-Transfer
An Interac E-Transfer email or phone number is required. Following successful Validation, payment may take up to ten (10) business days to be fully processed. For security reasons and to avoid fraud, we ask members to use the same email address for their LEO Medical account as for their e-transfer account. LEO Medical shall not be held liable for any delays or other problems if this condition is not met. To change their email address used on LEO Medical to that of their e-transfer account, members can submit a Contact Us form.
For all payments made through Interac e-transfer, a mandatory security question and answer will be implemented as an additional security measure. At the end of each survey, members will be provided with a unique security question and their corresponding answer. Members are required to make a note of the security question and answer for the purpose of processing their e-transfer payment. Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the security question and answer, as well as for preventing any unauthorized access or disclosure of this information.
All transactions are final; a waiting period of thirty (30) business days is required to obtain more information concerning the payment. In the event that an e-transfer payment is rejected, or unable to be processed for any reason, the member shall be promptly notified of the payment failure. The rejection of the e-transfer payment may occur due to various factors, including but not limited to, incorrect payment information provided by the member, issues with the banking institution, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Upon notification of a rejected e-transfer payment, the member shall be required to reverify their payment information and take appropriate corrective action to facilitate the payment process again. This reverification process may include confirming the accuracy of member’s bank account or e-transfer details, providing any additional documentation or information as requested by LEO Medical, and complying with any relevant legal or regulatory requirements. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the forfeiture of the payment, as deemed appropriate by LEO Medical.
The member acknowledges and agrees that LEO Medical’s decision to reverify and process the payment again, or to withhold payment in the event of non-compliance, is at the sole discretion of LEO Medical and shall be considered final.
Cheque
Only surveys with a redeemable amount of $100 or more qualify for payment by cheque. Upon submitting the survey end payment form, the cheque option will not be available if the total value of the completed survey does not reach at least $100. Requests for cheque payments below this minimum will not be processed.
For those admissible cheue payments, an address is required. Following successful Validation, payment may take up to fifteen (15) business days to be fully processed. For security reasons and to avoid fraud, we ask members to update their mailing address in their LEO Medical account. LEO Medical shall not be held liable for any delays or other problems if this condition is not met. To change their mailing address used on LEO Medical, members can submit a Contact Us form.
All transactions are final; a waiting period of thirty (30) business days is required to obtain more information concerning the payment. In the event that a payment by cheque is rejected or otherwise returned to LEO Medical, the member shall be promptly notified of the payment failure. Such rejection may occur for various reasons, including but not limited to discrepancies in the provided payment information, issues with the member’s bank, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Upon notification of a rejected cheque payment, the member shall be required to reverify their payment information and take appropriate corrective actions to facilitate the payment process again. The reverification process may encompass confirming the accuracy of the provided payment details, supplying any additional documentation or information as requested by LEO Medical and adhering to any pertinent legal or regulatory requirements. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the forfeiture of the payment, as deemed appropriate by LEO Medical.
Furthermore, in the event that a bank refuses to accept the cheque payment for any reason, the member shall be obligated to submit a Contact Us form to allow for an evaluation of the underlying issue.
The member acknowledges and agrees that LEO Medical’s decision to reverify and process the payment again, or to withhold payment in the event of non-compliance, is at the sole discretion of LEO Medical and shall be considered final.
Donation
LEO Medical provides members with the option to donate their rewards to designated charitable organizations. These charitable organizations are pre-selected and maintained by LEO Medical. Participants may select from the list of available organizations provided by LEO Medical.
Members who wish to make a donation must clearly indicate their chosen organization from the list provided at the end of the survey. The total amount earned for the survey will be the total amount donated. Members will receive confirmation of their donation, which may include information on the selected organization and the amount donated. It is the member’s responsibility to review this confirmation and contact LEO Medical in the event of any discrepancies or concerns.
LEO Medical will disburse donated funds to the selected organizations on a quarterly schedule determined by LEO Medical, which timing may vary and is at the sole discretion of LEO Medical. All donations are final; a waiting period of thirty (30) business days is required to obtain more information concerning the payment.
LEO Medical does not allow for the reversal or refund of donations once they have been confirmed. Participants should exercise diligence in their choice of donation recipients.
LEO Medical bears no responsibility for the actions, use of funds, or activities of the selected charitable organizations. The responsibility for the appropriateness and impact of the donation lies with the chosen organization. Members are to contact the chosen organization directly for any donation receipt requests.
Tax
You are responsible to declare any taxes, if due, to your local financial authorities as a result of honoraria or incentives that you receive. LEO Medical will not be liable for any taxes or for providing any assistance on tax matters. Members are encouraged to consult with a tax professional or the appropriate tax authority regarding the tax implications of their donations.
Account Inactivity & Expiration of Honoraria
LEO Medical recognizes the dynamic nature of healthcare professionals' schedules. However, to maintain the integrity of our healthcare panel and ensure the timeliness and relevance of survey responses, members are encouraged to participate actively. In the event of prolonged account inactivity, defined as a period of one (1) year without survey participation, LEO Medical reserves the right to suspend or deactivate the member’s account temporarily. We understand that circumstances may arise that limit participation, and members are encouraged to communicate any challenges they may be facing. Reactivation of accounts following suspension can be facilitated upon request, demonstrating our commitment to flexibility while balancing the need for an engaged and responsive panel.
Participants are responsible for claiming their honoraria within a reasonable timeframe. Any unclaimed rewards in a member’s account for a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance will be forfeited. If you unsubscribe from LEO Medical, or if your membership is terminated, your account will be closed. At that time all unredeemed rewards will be forfeited. Please also note that depending on the payment method you have selected, there is an expiration date associated with each.
E-Transfer: An expiration date will be provided to the member by Interac, whether it is delivered via email or text message. Interac e-transfers expire thirty (30) days after they are sent. After 30 days, the recipient will not be able to deposit the funds. It is the member’s responsibility to adhere to the specified expiration date.
Cheque: Banking institutions consider cheques stale-date after six months.
If the expiration date for a payment method has passed, please submit a Contact Us form in order to re-issue payment.
Participation in LEO Medical Referral Programs
From time-to-time LEO Medical may invite its members to partake in a referral program. Comprehensive details regarding the terms, conditions, and any limitations of the referral program will be communicated to members. These details may include, but are not limited to, any condition of eligibility based on a member's profession and the specific time period during which participation is permitted. It is the responsibility of the members to understand and comply with these stipulations. Under no circumstances may the members create promotional material in the name and image of LEO Medical (social media or web pages, advertisements, etc.). Any offender will have his or her account closed immediately, and all points accumulated will be cancelled and non-recoverable. LEO Medical reserves the right to accept or reject any referral.
Please note that to qualify for the reward, the referee must not be a member of LEO or LEO Medical.
Obligations of Members of the LEO Medical Panel
Use of the Member’s Account
As a member, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Members shall immediately notify LEO Medical of any known or suspected unauthorized use of their personal account, or of any breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of their password.
LEO Medical has no control over the Internet and therefore cannot prevent the interception of messages by unauthorized parties or guarantee that such unauthorized parties are unable to decrypt encoded messages. Consequently, LEO Medical shall under no circumstances be held liable for any loss or damage suffered by any member as a result of the unauthorized interception or decryption of information transmitted to members of LEO Medical.
Each member is fully responsible for the use of and activity in their account, including the use of their account by a third party (which is prohibited), whether or not such use is authorized by the member, or is the result of the member having authorized a third party to use their username and password.
In the event of a dispute, LEO Medical may request proof of identity. If a person other than the member has access to the member’s personal account, LEO Medical reserves the right to suspend the account. LEO Medical also reserves the right to recover any rewards or incentive earned by the unauthorized user, in which case the member shall have no recourse against LEO Medical.
Fraud Attempts
Each member agrees not to abuse LEO Medical privileges through conduct which is detrimental to the interests of LEO Medical. This includes, but is not limited to, any attempt to earn rewards in a manner that violates or does not comply with these Terms. Without limiting the scope of the foregoing provisions, members shall refrain from:
Activating or using more than one LEO Medical account;
Using an automated system, device, program or any other similar means to earn rewards;
Manipulating or disrupting the LEO Medical website or LEO app or any other affiliated program in any manner whatsoever to improperly earn rewards;
Submitting false or misleading information to LEO Medical;
Using or redeeming rewards obtained in violation of these Terms, or mistakenly credited to a member’s account; or
Assisting another person or entity in any fraudulent, abusive, manipulative or illegal activity.
In certain cases, LEO Medical may request to verify a member's account information. This verification process may be initiated to ensure that the member complies with these Terms. Members will be contacted to provide additional proof of profile information. Failure to comply will result in the closure of the account.
LEO Medical may, at its sole discretion, close the account of any member suspected of engaging in any fraudulent, abusive, manipulative or illegal activity, and cancel any accrued rewards. If it considers it justified, LEO Medical may report the case to the appropriate authorities.
Technical Issues
LEO Medical is not responsible for unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; Internet outages; hardware, software, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communication failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting, or corrupting the LEO Medical portal or LEO app in any way whatsoever, including, but not limited to, the receipt of redemption requests, the possibility for members to participate in health-related surveys, and the transfer of rewards to a members personal account. In addition, LEO Medical is in no way liable for any damage to the computer of any member as a result of them participating in LEO Medical surveys or downloading information required to participate in LEO Medical surveys.
The LEO Medical website and its LEO app, including all the contents and services available or accessible through the website and app, are offered “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, LEO Medical makes no representations or warranty of any kind with respect to the contents of its website and app. In addition, LEO Medical disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to, the absence of infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. LEO Medical does not guarantee the features included on the website and the app; that the materials and contents included therein will be without interruption or error free; that failures will be corrected; that the website, app, or server that delivers them will be repaired; or that the website, app, or server that makes them available is free of viruses or other harmful components.
In no event shall LEO Medical be held liable under any contract or tort theory, strict liability or any exemplary or punitive damages in the event of personal injury or death attributable to a fault or special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, each of which is hereby excluded from the agreement between the parties, regardless of whether either party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Generalities
Members must refrain from:
Hindering or preventing any other member from enjoying the LEO Medical portal or LEO app;
Sending messages containing viruses, worms or any other destructive element;
Sending defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful messages;
Infringing the copyright, trademarks, service marks, logos, and confidential information of others; and
Publishing in a newspaper, magazine or advertisement, or on social networks, text from surveys, screenshots about surveys, or any other content of the LEO Medical portal relating to current or past surveys.
Members shall only access the sections of the website and app that are specifically intended for them, and under no circumstances shall they be permitted to use the website and/or app, or intend to use them, in whole or in part, to violate its security or the security of systems accessible through it.
All information available on the website and in the app about its services and activities is accurate, to the best of LEO Medical’s knowledge. LEO Medical is not responsible for any errors and/or omissions concerning such information.
Each member certifies and acknowledges that LEO Medical shall not be responsible or held liable for any agreement between a member and any affiliate of LEO Medical in relation to the items or services received by the member in exchange for rewards or with respect to the involvement of said member in third-party promotions or other activities. The non-public personal and professional information we gather from you in connection with LEO Medical is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Text Messages (SMS)
LEO Medical will send activation and reward code by SMS as well as certain promotional materials
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. If you decide to cancel the SMS service, you will no longer be able to claim LEO Medical rewards.

Unsubscribing from the LEO Medical Panel
Members may terminate their participation at any time in any of the following ways:
By submitting a Contact Us form.
By visiting the “Unsubscribe” page of the LEO Medical website.
By clicking on the “Unsubscribe” button in the “Profile” section of the website and application.
Simply marking the leo@legeropinionmedical.com address as spam in your email service such as MSN, Hotmail, Live, Yahoo, AOL, etc. is not construed as a desire to cancel your registration. LEO Medical reserves the right to contact you to ensure that the cancellation request was not submitted by mistake.
Account Closure
LEO Medical may, at its sole discretion, cancel, or terminate any member’s access to LEO Medical or to the LEO app, and, more specifically, cancel, in whole or in part, any reward made to the member for any reason or for no reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, failure to comply with these Terms, or in response to an action that is contrary to the intentions of these Terms. LEO Medical shall have full decision-making authority if it suspects any abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms. Any decision made by LEO Medical regarding the permanent or temporary closure of any member’s personal account (including the cancellation of rewards) shall be final and binding. LEO Medical shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any termination of your access or the closure of your account.
LEO Medical may also close any member’s personal account at its sole discretion and without notice if the member has not completed a survey in twelve (12) months or more, or has not responded to reminders sent by LEO Medical (“Account Inactivity”). When a member’s account is closed in such a manner, all rewards not yet processed are lost and become the property of LEO Medical.
